FAQ
Is The Block suitable for beginners? The Block is recommended for climbers with at least 1-2 years of climbing experience. Complete beginners should focus on climbing first before adding finger-specific training.
What edges should I start with? Start on the 25mm edge for warm-up and endurance. As your finger strength improves, work your way down to 20mm, 15mm and eventually 10mm for maximum effort training.
How do I hang it without a pull-up bar? The Block doesn't need a pull-up bar. You can hang it from any fixed anchor point overhead, or place a weighted object on the ground and pull upward with your fingers. It also works leaning back against a fixed point, or with your feet providing the resistance. No installation, no fixed setup — just find an anchor and train.
How much weight can The Block hold? The Block is crafted from solid maple wood and is built to handle up to approximately 120kg — more than enough for the full bodyweight of an adult climber during any training exercise.
Does it come ready to use? Yes — The Block arrives ready to train with. The edges are lightly sanded. A sandpaper sheet is included so you can adjust the texture to your preference.
How do I take care of it? Store in a dry place away from direct sunlight. Wipe clean with a dry cloth after use. Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture to preserve the wood quality.
Can I use it outdoors? Absolutely — The Block was designed for exactly that. Hang it from a branch, a crag anchor, or any outdoor structure. Train at the crag, the campsite, or wherever your climbing takes you.
What is the size and weight? 21cm across, 13cm per face, 3cm thick. Weighs just 200g — lighter than most chalk bags.
